Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Executive and Administrative Support position will support the operations and mandates of the Dean’s Office in the Faculty of Health Sciences, with a focus on supporting the Dean, Associate Dean and Administrative Manager.
This is a strong service‑orientated position that requires higher‑level decision making and relationship building. It requires extensive knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Health Sciences programs, as well as of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the university as a whole.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring multiple email addresses, back‑up front office support and contract management. This position will also work closely with the Associate Dean in maintaining and assigning Graduate Assistantships.
A two‑year Office Administration diploma, with a Bachelor’s degree considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess an advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email and database applications). Excellent communication skills (oral and written), strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and a demonstrated ability for analytical reasoning, problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in an environment with numerous deadlines are required. Familiarity with the University of Lethbridge and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with members of the university community and the general public is an asset.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $4,017.00 – $4,469.00 monthly.
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $4,017.00 – $4,921.00 monthly (AUPE – Grade 8).
