Job Brief

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: provide administrative support for Construction Administrator / Project Leaders and Managers during construction, including answering phone calls and email inquiries and relaying messages appropriately. This includes a written report which outlines the conversations.

Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and determine needs of the caller. Address caller’s request or forward to the appropriate associate.
  • Manage electronic and paper files.
  • Prepare correspondence as requested for construction personnel.
  • Manage common office equipment (copier, phones, scanner, postage machine, etc.).
  • Receiving and validating purchase orders and invoices, as well as liaising between site supervisors and suppliers.
  • Opportunity to grow and develop.
Skills Required
  • High School Diploma with two (2) years college related courses, or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate level using Microsoft Suite and strong computer software skills. Experience with Microsoft Project is considered an asset.
  • Prior experience within the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable speaking with employees, vendors and suppliers, as well as the general public and potential clients. Must be able to anticipate problems and solve them as required independently.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
  • Pays attention to details.
  • Experience with creating and administering schedules is considered an asset.
  • Data entry capabilities and Quickbooks experience an asset.
