Overview

The University of Fredericton is a fully recognized degree-granting institution by the Province of New Brunswick. We are currently seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach and support the development of online courses in Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics. This role will focus on course design and content development for graduate-level students in our online programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach online courses in Linear Algebra, Calculus, or Statistics, delivering content that is engaging, clear, and aligned with UFred's academic standards.
  • Facilitate learning in a fully online environment by providing timely feedback, fostering interaction, and supporting student success.
  • Support the development and refinement of course materials in collaboration with the Academic and Program Development teams.
  • Contribute to the creation or improvement of assessments and learning activities, ensuring they reflect graduate-level expectations and real-world application.
  • Participate in course reviews, offering instructional insights and suggestions for enhancing the student learning experience.
Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field is required.
  • Previous experience in curriculum development and/or online course design, ideally at the post-secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of adult education and online learning best practices.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
