Job summary

Aon is seeking an actuarial intern for the winter 2027 term across multiple Canadian cities, including Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON, Calgary, AB and Vancouver, BC. The role offers exposure to P&C risk advisory and insurance broking within a dynamic Professional Services Practice.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and be pursuing a degree in actuarial science or math, with strong analytical and communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or similar field.
• Progress in professional actuarial exams (CAS) preferred but not required.
• Previous actuarial or insurance work term experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing loss profiles for professional service firms and model severity/frequency distributions.
• Review firm and industry assumptions used in loss profiles.
• Run simulation models for actuarial funding and pricing requirements.
• Forecast premiums and review program structure and reinsurance arrangements.
• Prepare premium funding and reserving reports for client captives.
• Develop and refine financial modeling tools.
