EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (1) Full-time Permanent Position

Title: Activities Worker

Location: Nelson House, Manitoba Head Office

Job Summary

This position reports to the Family Enhancement Supervisor and is responsible for coordinating special activities within the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation Family and Community Wellness Centre Inc. May include providing the proper and safe operation and care of all materials and equipment needed for planned activities.

  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients is vital. Activities workers often work in group settings, so being a team player is essential for successful coordination of events and programs.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work co-operatively with members of the unit and other FCWC employees
  • Must have a high level of personal integrity and professional initiative
  • Ability to speak an Aboriginal language would be an asset
  • Must have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with members of the unit and other areas of the FCWC
  • Must have a valid Manitoba driver's license
  • A criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry is a requirement for all FCWC positions

Salary: Starting $36,849.00 Annually
