This role provides hands‑on leadership and operational oversight of the Accounts Payable function and is responsible for managing a team of 8–10 Accounts Payable Clerks. The Accounts Payable Lead will act as a key escalation point, supporting the resolution of processing discrepancies while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across AP operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, guidance, and support to a team of 8–10 Accounts Payable Clerks
• Oversee daily AP operations, workload distribution, and processing timelines
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex invoice, payment, and processing discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve issues related to vendor invoices, payments, and expense claims
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and accounts payable best practices
• Support training, onboarding, and ongoing performance development of team members
• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with Finance and cross‑functional teams as required
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities as needed

Qualifications

• Strong understanding ofend-to-end Accounts Payable processes
• 1–2 years of people‑management or team‑lead experience
• Experience working in a high‑volume AP environment
• Proven ability to manage escalations and resolve discrepancies
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SAP is an asset
• Criminal background check is required
