Job summary

Farris LLP in Vancouver, Canada is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on a temporary full-time basis to cover maternity leave through March 2028. Responsibilities

• Ensure all vendor invoices, expense reports and credit card statements are processed and recorded with appropriate approvals.

• Investigate inquiries from internal and external partners within timeframes.
• Cross-train in another area to support team functions.

Description

Farris LLP is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team on a temporary full-time basis to provide maternity leave coverage through March 2028. Reporting to the Director, Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, cost recovery transactions, and employee expense reports while delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure all vendor invoices, expense reports and credit card statements are accurately processed and recorded within an appropriate time frame with the appropriate approvals.


• Produce cost recovery transactions that are accurately processed and reconciled, and exceptions are resolved in a timely manner.


• Process timely payment of vendor invoices.


• Maintain and update vendor records within an appropriate timeframe.


• Investigate and respond to inquiries received from internal and external business partners within the outlined timeframe.


• Complete cross-training in another area of the team to support team functions as needed.


• Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years’ accounts payable experience. Professional services background considered an asset.


• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.


• Strong working knowledge of ELITE 3E highly desirable.


• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.


• A strong service orientation.


• A positive and willing attitude.


• Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate (both oral and written) in a professional, mature, and courteous manner.


• The ability to work well independently and in a team setting.

Compensation + Benefits

This is a temporary full-time maternity leave coverage position with an anticipated term ending in March 2028. During the contract term, the successful candidate will be eligible for the firm's applicable benefits programs and employee offerings.

The typical salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal and market equity.
