Job summary

Dometic in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Marine team. You will process a high volume of accounts payable invoices, reconcile ledgers to vendor statements and respond to vendor inquiries, plus run weekly payment batches and manual cheques.

Ideal candidates bring strong organizational skills, English communication abilities, and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint). Growth opportunities abound in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Code and enter data into a computerized accounts payable system. Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Verify accuracy of invoices by reviewing prices, quantities, discounts and tax extensions, and totals.
• Reconcile supplier statements, employee travel accounts and other accounts as required.
• Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensure credit is received for outstanding memos; issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and manual cheques; prepare payment batches and signing.
• Create and provide reports in a timely manner for management review.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Assist in the month end process and account analysis including tax accruals, credit card reconciliations, GL to subledger reconcilations, GRNI reconciliations, and other ad hoc reports
• Maintain and update the status of ePOs and MRRs within the internal system (eForms)

About the position

A suitable background will bring demonstrated success and will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:

• Grade 12 Graduation
• Two years related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education
