Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process data and verify information.
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Prepare invoices and reconcile cash and bank.
  • Assist in preparing profit and loss statements.
  • Support payroll preparations.
  • Conduct enquiries with HMRC.
  • Create ad hoc reports.
  • Utilize Excel spreadsheets.
  • Use Xero accounting software.

Job Overview

We are recruiting an interesting and varied Accounts Assistant opportunity for a small and growing accountancy Practice in the Perth area.

To be considered, you MUST have UK accountancy Practice experience to include working with owner-managed and small business clients (e.g. FRS 102 for small companies and FRS 105 for micro-entities).

If you do not have UK Practice experience as outlined in this post, we cannot progress your application.

We are looking for someone with an appropriate background. This will suit an AAT 2 / 3.

This is an office-based role. Preference will be given to local applicants who currently live within reasonable travel distance.

As part of a warm, friendly and supportive team, you’ll provide support to a qualified Accountant, part qualified Accountant, and Partner on a variety of client accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Data processing / input and verification of data
  • Sales and purchase ledgers
  • Invoice, cash and bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of P&Ls
  • Assisting with the preparation of payroll runs
  • Making enquiries with HMRC
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Excel spreadsheets
  • Use of Xero
