Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of two years in a similar role.
  • Strong command of French and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Dynamics 365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Record journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions.
  • Process monthly vendor and government payments with deadlines.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries about invoices and payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist month-end close.
  • Support internal controls and process improvements.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in the firm's accounting operations by performing a variety of financial analyses, supporting multiple accounting processes, and contributing to engaging departmental projects.

Responsibilities
  • Record journal entries related to routine and non-routine transactions
  • Prepare and process monthly payments to vendors and government agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable deadlines and payment terms
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Participate in month-end closing activities by conducting various financial analyses
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and related procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the department
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Skills and requirements
  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong command of French and proficiency in written English
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new concepts and processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
