Job summary

Sonepar Canada is seeking an accounting-focused administrator to join our finance team. You will manage records, perform journal entries, and analyze financial statements in a dynamic, large-scale distribution environment.

This role supports treasury tasks and group reporting while collaborating with multiple operating companies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or DEC in Accounting, 3+ years in a similar role, strong Excel/ERP skills, and proficiency in French and English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a DEC in Accounting, or equivalent accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or distribution company.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel and ERPs.
  • Good communication skills, team player, resourceful and able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Knowledge of IFRS rules is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records, record journal entries including accruals and prepaids.
  • Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Coordinate with various operating companies to calculate and record entries.
  • Respond to various requests for information and maintain good relations with internal stakeholders.
  • Perform routine treasury tasks.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the group reporting process.
  • Participate in Ad-hoc requests.

You’ll Have the Opportunity To:
