Job summary

McCoy Global in Edmonton, AB seeks a full-time accounting professional to cover maternity leave for approximately 13 months. The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and multitasking across AR, AP, and accounting tasks.

Qualifications include post-secondary training in Accounting or Business Administration, familiarity with accounting concepts, ERP system knowledge (EPICOR preferred), and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable invoicing: generate customer invoices for assigned locations and perform three-way match.
• Collections: research past-due items, make calls, print/mail/fax invoices, and propose AR adjustments.
• Accounts payable: verify supplier invoices, match PO/GRN, resolve pricing issues, respond to supplier queries, and run cheques.
• Accounting: assist with monthly financial statements, intercompany invoices, routine journal entries, and supporting working papers.
• Assist the finance team with other tasks and projects as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a full-time employee to provide maternity leave coverage. The anticipated term of employment is approximately 13 months.

What you’ll bring:

What you’ll do:

• Accounts receivable invoicing
  • Perform customer invoice generation for assigned locations.
  • Perform sales three-way match when processing customer invoices, ensuring compliance to internal control processes.
• Collections
  • Research, escape and resolve any ‘past due items’ identified from aged accounts reports.
  • Make outgoing and answer incoming customer calls & inquiries to collect outstanding balances.
  • Print/Mail/Email/Fax invoices as required by customers.
  • Recommend AR adjustments.
• Accounts payable
  • Review and verify supplier invoices for payment within the agreed terms.
  • Post supplier invoices by matching Purchase order (PO) and GRN to invoices in compliance with Company's internal control policy.
  • Resolve pricing issues with the Purchaser.
  • Respond to queries from suppliers regarding status of payments.
  • Perform cheque runs.
• Accounting
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and other various ad hoc financial reports, including supporting working papers, documentation, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare intercompany invoices and miscellaneous billings.
  • Prepare and record routine accounting transactions and journal entries
  • Compile documents and respond to auditor’s requests for information.
• Assist the finance team with other tasks and projects as requested
• Other duties as assigned.
