Job summary

Mosaic Forest Management in Nanaimo, British Columbia, is hiring an Accounting Summer Student for the 2027 term (May 3 to August 27). You will work in our Nanaimo office, gaining hands-on experience in finance while being mentored by experienced staff.

Responsibilities include processing vendor payments, responding to vendor inquiries, and analyzing transactions; you will also build competency with accounting systems and supporting financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Completed 1+ year of study and enrolled in a finance related degree or diploma program specializing in Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The Opportunity

Mosaic is seeking an Accounting Summer Student for the 2027 summer work term from May 3 to August 27 to work out of our Nanaimo office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Bring your passion and we will provide the training and experiences. Successful candidates will share their existing knowledge with Mosaic Forest Management staff while gaining valuable on-the-job experience in finance supplemented by coaching from experienced mentors.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $24.50 to $27.00. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
