Job Description
Status : Permanent, Full-time
Schedule : Mondays to Fridays - 8am to 4pm
Location : Head Office, Vancouver, BC
Hourly Wage : $25.68-$27.31
Job Summary :
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Accounting and Personnel, this position handles complex duties related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billings, posting to general ledger, and reconciliations.
Typical Duties :
- Process, pay, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including imprest accounts, both manually and electronically.
- Maintain files according to established procedures.
- Oversee and code grant income, reconciling when necessary.
- Post and balance subsidiary ledgers.
- Review voucher coding and report inconsistencies.
- Prepare weekly cash flow reports.
- Manage petty cash opening, closing, and backups.
- Review and develop procedures and forms as needed.
- Assist with payroll functions, including T4 and T4A preparation and reconciliation.
- Help with trust account management and processing trust cheques/EFTs.
- Support the auditor during annual audits.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Deposit income and reconcile GL accounts related to payroll, A/P, and A/R.
- Manage bank account signatories and order cheques as needed.
- Assist in form and procedure development.
Job Qualifications :
- Accounting certificate.
- At least one year of recent related experience or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- WHMIS certification.
- Criminal Records Check required.

- Physical ability to perform job duties.
- Proficiency with relevant equipment.
- Knowledge of business English, mathematics, and financial calculations.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Typing speed of 50 WPM.
