Overview

Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Location: In-office (Langley BC)

Role Type: Full-time

Reports to: Financial Controller

Summary

Were looking for an Accounting Assistant to keep our clients finance ops tight and accurate. Youll handle daily transactions, maintain records, and support month-end and year-end close. This is an in-office role and a key part of the teams day-to-day rhythm and the companys financial health. This will give you experience working with a company that does business in Canada and in the USA and exposure to the requirements that come with this type of organization.

Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Enter invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
  • Support month-end and year-end close
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 12 years in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Experience with accounting software; ERP exposure is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid organization and time management; you hit deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, basic reporting)
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care
  • Analytical mindset and practical problem-solving
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfort in a fast-paced high-volume environment
Nice to have
  • Experience building simple reports in Excel or QBO
  • Process mindset: you like creating checklists and tightening workflows
Work setup

Full-time In-office (8am-4:30pm)
