The role

We have an immediate opening for a Accounting Assistant in Richmond, BC, to join our accounting team. This entry-level position is ideal for those wanting to grow their career and work toward a CPA designation. Main Responsibilities
  • A/P and credit card reconciliation and data entries.
  • Subledger and G/L analysis, investigating and resolving discrepancies in records.
  • Communicating with vendors on billing matters.
  • Match purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving reports.
Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • 1-2 years experience in general accounting areas, such as A/P, G/L analysis, bank reconciliation, or related (not essential but would be an asset).
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Good MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to stay organized and solve problems while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and productivity under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Able to work overtime when required to complete work within given deadlines.
  • Fast learner who is open to feedback and direct communication style of leadership.
  • Accounting software and ERP experience is preferred but not required.
