Senior Associate, Finance as a Service

RSM is looking for a Senior Associate to join our Finance as a Service team. We focus on emerging company and small business engagements by providing back-office support functions. Changing economies, new accounting policies and evolving tax regulations mean that businesses face an ever-changing business landscape. Our clients include firms in a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, life sciences, and manufacturing to name just a few. Responsibilities:
  • Perform and oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve accounting issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide accounting, finance and business advisory services to clients.
  • Work closely with team leadership and clients to resolve accounting issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Understand RSM's service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery
Required Qualifications:
  • Canadian CPA
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems and cloud-based tools.
  • 4+ years of experience working in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate and work in team settings.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Firm understanding of general accounting functions
  • Ability to understand the business objectives, people, and processes with our clients
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Willingness to travel, depending on clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a multiple projects environment.
  • Previous client service experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or Xero

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $68,000 - $108,500

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
