Job description

Your role

Prepare and/or review compilation, review and audit engagements, including corporate and personal tax returns, HST returns, and bookkeeping.

Manage engagements, keeping Partners abreast of progress.

Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.

Responsible for identifying and resolving complex and routine accounting, audit and tax issues.

Develop junior staff members by providing technical guidance and mentoring.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client personnel, co-workers, and all levels of staff and management.

What you bring to the table

• 2-3 years post-qualification public accounting experience
• Sound knowledge of the CICA Handbook, review procedures and tax compliance
• Ability to provide proactive solutions to clients, partners and staff on complex assurance issues
• Experience in managing and developing staff on engagements
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Proven project management and time management skills
• Working knowledge of Caseware, Jazzit and Taxprep an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing client deadlines
