Manning Park Resort is seeking a full timeAccounting Administrator with a strong business and financial acumen to live and work on site at MPR. This person will report directly to MPR's Accounting Manager and will take full responsibility for the Company’s general ledger. They will maintain the integrity of general accounts to provide accurate, timely, and relevant reporting of financial information.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and verify general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure all entries are accurate and supported by source documents
  • Post transactions, adjustments, accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, amortization, and intercompany entries
  • Reconcile daily sales and cash deposits for all merchant terminals
  • Maintain the capital asset amortization schedule to ensure correct and up to date
  • Maintain prepaid expense schedule
  • Some accounts payable/receivable assistance and vacation relief
Job Requirements/Qualifications
  • A post‑secondary degree or diploma with successful completion of accounting courses
  • A minimum of 2 years progressive accounting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online required
  • Experience with Payworks is an asset
