Our client, a well-established, multi-location organization that is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join their team. Based in Burlington, ON, this role offers the opportunity to support day‑to‑day accounting operations while working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure timely financial transactions.
  • Review, code, and reconcile credit card statements; assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable balances, assist with daily deposits, and reconcile/maintain petty cash.
  • Liaise with vendors to address inquiries, discrepancies, and payment processing.
  • Assist with tax filings, payroll processing, and intercompany transactions.
  • Perform daily bank transaction clearing, assist with monthly bank reconciliations, and support statistical reporting.
  • Support collection efforts, process adjustments, and follow up on outstanding receipts.
  • Provide backup to colleagues, maintain organized filing of accounting records, and assist with administrative tasks tied to operations.
  • Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and privacy regulations.
What You Must Have
  • Post‑secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Excel and experience with accounting systems.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and vendors.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
