Job summary

PK Sound, Calgary-based maker of robotic audio systems, seeks an in-office Accountant to own day-to-day accounting – payroll, month-end close, receivables, payables and cash. You report to the Director of Finance and collaborate with staff and vendors from our Calgary HQ. Salary range: $75,000–$85,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.

This hands-on role includes multi-currency payroll, Canada tax reporting, and budgeting/forecasting support with Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Payroll experience and ability to run it independently
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills; Odoo and multi-currency assets are a plus
• Post-secondary accounting education; CPA or CPA-track is an asset

Responsibilities

• Payroll: own semi-monthly payroll in RISE end to end
• Month-End & Reporting: run monthly close in Odoo and prepare entries
• Accounts Receivable: issue invoices and follow up on payments
• Accounts Payable: post vendor bills and reconcile statements
• Cards, Expenses & Cash: process multi-currency card/expense activity and reconciliations
• PK Sound UK: handle day-to-day accounting for PK Sound UK
• Analysis: support budgeting and forecasting with Director of Finance
• Office/vendor management: maintain space and vendor relations
