Job summary

Fortinet in Canada is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the general accounting function, reporting to the Controller and assisting the Accounting Manager and GL Accounting Team with daily activities.

You will maintain ledgers in Oracle ERP, post journal entries, perform reconciliations, manage prepaid schedules, review vendor and project costs, and prepare reports for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting and administrative experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with Oracle or SAP is an asset.
• University degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records and general ledger accounts in Oracle ERP.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end adjustments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Review GST/PST-related records and assist with tax reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
