Job summary

mbf | Chartered Professional Accountants in Kentville, Nova Scotia, invites applications for a full-time position in public practice. The role focuses on financial statement preparation, tax filings, and payroll calculations, with hands-on use of Sage, QuickBooks Online, QB and Wave.

We seek an independent, detail-oriented team player with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business/finance and relevant public practice experience.

• Preparation of annual financial statements and tax filings.
• Personal tax preparation.

Job Qualifications:

• Public practice experience and financial statement preparation are considered our most important qualifications.
• A diploma or bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance, information systems, computer science or another relevant program.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work;
• Experience in public practice and financial statements an asset;
• Independent worker with exceptional problem-solving skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Technical expertise in privately held business an asset;
