Nestled in the breathtaking Okanagan Valley, our wineries are recognized not only for world-class wines, but also for exceptional architecture, hospitality, craftsmanship, and guest experiences.

The Opportunity:

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance team through the accurate execution of accounting transactions, reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial administration activities. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in structured environments, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in process-driven work.

Working closely with the Director, FP&A and the broader Finance team, you will help ensure the integrity of financial records while supporting efficient accounting operations across our portfolio of luxury wineries. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build their experience, as well as experienced accounting professionals seeking a stable and rewarding role within a collaborative team environment.

Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, reliable follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare and process journal entries, vouchers, recurring monthly transactions, and other accounting entries.
  • Complete account reconciliations, including bank, gratuity, cash float, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support month-end close activities through the preparation of working papers and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Process routine inventory transactions and assist with product costing activities.
  • Assist with the administration and recordkeeping of fixed assets.
  • Support annual budgeting processes, monthly reporting activities, and ad hoc finance requests.
  • Respond to audit requests and assist with year-end audit preparation.
  • Coordinate updates to finance templates, coding guides, procedures, and reference materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across finance processes.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
  • 1-5 years of accounting experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, accounting clerk, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or similar role.
  • Recent graduates with relevant co-op, internship, or practical accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and practical accounting experience may also be considered.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
Success in This Role:

The ideal candidate enjoys working within established accounting processes and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing routine and recurring accounting activities with consistency and precision. You enjoy keeping things organized, following established procedures, and supporting the success of the broader Finance team through reliable execution and strong attention to detail.

Nice to Have:
  • CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation.
  • Experience with inventory accounting or manufacturing-related accounting environments.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or Cognos.
