Job summary

Peak Associates Limited in Brampton is seeking an experienced accountant to join the Finance team. The role focuses on accurate financial records, timely reporting, and smooth accounting processes across monthly closes and payroll cycles.

Key tasks include reconciliations, journal entries, reports for management, bank reconciliations, and compliance duties. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements while maintaining confidential records in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Enrolled in CPA Program.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll administration.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting and close processes.
• Prepare and review financial information and reports for management.
• Complete bank reconciliations and monitor financial activity.
• Assist with government filings, remittances, and other compliance requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Process and review bi-weekly payroll for employees.
• Maintain payroll and employee-related financial records.
• Assist with benefits administration and payroll-related inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll and benefits information and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting and administrative processes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential financial and employee records.
• Provide general support to the Finance team as required.
