Job summary

Resolve Sleep Health, Canada's largest independent sleep health provider with 145+ clinics, seeks an Accountant for a hybrid role. You will manage daily accounts payable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations while supporting audits and vendor management.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in accounting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and common accounting software. Hybrid work environment and development opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting or related subject.
• 1–2 years' experience in accounts payable or general accounting is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and efficiently.
• Willingness to learn new processes and procedures.
• Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, Sage, Great Plains and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day accounts payable, including recording invoices in the accounting system.
• Prepare accounts payable subledgers and post payments; code and match invoices.
• Provide supporting documentation for annual audit.
• Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Process employee expense reports.
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
• Complete month-end intercompany, bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare month, quarter and year-end working papers.

We are currently seeking a Accountant to join our team. This position is a hybrid role.

Reports to: Corporate Controller

Role purpose: As a member of the Finance team, the Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounts payable maintenance, processing and payment, preparation and posting of journal entries and bank reconciliations.

Key accountabilities

• Completion of day-to-day accounts payable functions, including:
  • recording of invoices in the accounting system
  • preparation of accounts payable subledgers
  • posting of payments
  • sort, code and match invoices
  • correspondence with vendors
• Processing and verification of employee expense reports
• Provide supporting documentation for annual audit
• Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and made on time
• Preparation and posting of journal entries as required from time to time
• Completion of month end intercompany, bank and credit card reconciliations
• Month, quarter and year end working paper preparation

Experience and qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, Sage, Great Plains and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is not required but would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of the accounts payable function and general accounting procedures
• Diploma or degree in accounting or another related subject
• 1 to 2 years' experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role would be considered an asset but not required

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: $40,000 - $60,000
