We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Administrator to join a great local team. This position is critical to supporting the Accounting Manager during a time of increased volume and internal change. This is a fantastic chance to build your professional profile within a dynamic organization.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of high-volume invoices and coordinating vendor payments. This team is looking for someone driven and detail-oriented, eager to become an integral part of their close-knit unit.

  • Hours: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (flexible) or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Processing (60% focus): Enter and post invoices (volume of 100–200 invoices/day) into the specific ERP system.
  • Code and voucher all purchase order invoices.
  • Print checks on a weekly basis and match paid invoices to check stubs.
  • Perform month-end processes.
  • Answer vendor inquiries regarding payment and communicate with internal personnel to resolve problems.
  • Review vendor statements and coordinate freight invoice entry.
  • Assist with payments (direct deposits and cheques) and filing (20% focus).
  • Maintain paid invoice files.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience of 2 years is ideal.
  • Post-Secondary education (College Diploma) would be nice.
  • Experience with ERP systems is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required for the fast-paced, busy work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (email and sometimes on the phone) and the ability to work independently.
