Reports To: This role reports to an Evans Hunt Account Director or Program Director.
It’s wonderful if you can join us in Calgary, and almost as wonderful if you’re anywhere in Canada.
All candidates must have a valid Canadian work permit. Evans Hunt will not be providing sponsorship at this time. We’re open to considering international candidates working remotely during our business hours in Mountain Time.
At Evans Hunt, our mission is to execute projects seamlessly from project intake to launch for clients of all sizes across different industries and marketing needs. We are currently looking for an Account Manager (internally this title is called a Project Manager) who will be responsible for the successful completion of campaign planning and execution, working with creative and media teams. This job will also include some brand and digital work.
Show us what you’ve got! If this role feels like a reach, but you’ve got experience managing clients or working at an agency, apply anyway. You may be a great fit for different opportunities that may arise another day!
We’re looking for someone with two to five years of advertising agency experience focused on the development of regional and/or national campaigns. As part of the Client Engagement team, the ideal Account Manager candidate will check off the boxes below.
You're detail-oriented. Nothing slips past you. You’re the first one in documents providing feedback, and the last one to sign off before creative ideas are handed off. In fact, you’re so good with details that you probably caught the mistake in the last sentence. Now that’s impressive.
You can communicate effectively. Whether it’s a call with a client about a change to the media plan or a meeting with the client to provide updates to the overall timeline and budget, you can rattle off the facts and stats as needed.
You are organized. With so many moving parts to manage, you’re always one step ahead of everyone else. You love a good spreadsheet, a well‑organized folder structure, and you anticipate timelines before anyone else is even thinking of them. It’s hard keeping up with you.
You can work across disciplines. You have familiarity and are comfortable with the basic principles of campaign design and production (inclusive of broadcast, OOH and digital channels), reporting & analytics, and SEO, and can translate all this into simpler terms for clients.
You’re self‑motivated. You are comfortable working with limited supervision and enjoy being the person people come to when they’re looking for the next step. And you have a passion for ongoing learning and continuous improvement, particularly around process and methodology.
You can do math. You set up budget control reports, track and report budget burn, and keep all numbers up to date regularly.
Working at an agency, you’ll have the opportunity to work with clients across a diverse range of industries simultaneously. As an Account Manager, there are a few activities that will likely take up most of your time. These include:
