About the Role

The primary role of the Account Manager to attract, retain and build strong relationships with our farm clients by providing superior service. The Account Manager utilizes first-rate industry and market knowledge to tailor recommendations to those that fit the needs of successful and accomplished individuals and families.

What You’ll Do
  • Service and proactively manage your assigned clients’ farm, liability and personal insurance portfolio’s inclusive of renewals, mid-term changes, cancellations and claims in accordance with company service/quality standards
  • Conducts needs assessment to offer customized solutions to clients
  • Completes proactive contact with clients at each renewal to develop strong relationships and strengthen the NFP Brand
  • Handle incoming/outgoing calls and email requests from clients in a timely manner
  • Assist with insurer portal transactions to complete endorsement and renewal activities
  • Manage accounts receivables and follow-up activity
  • Request referrals from clients, business associates and other departments to ensure a consistent pipeline of new clients are added to assigned portfolio
  • Function as first-line underwriters, qualifying, maintaining and promoting sound quality business
  • Build and maintain professional business relationships with industry partners
  • Input all information into Applied EPIC accurately and efficiently per company requirements
What You Bring
  • Equestrian knowledge a must
  • RIBO license is required, other provincial license would be considered an asset
  • Professional insurance designation is a plus (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)
  • Typically, more than 3 years of personal lines experience – preferably with broad market portal experience including mutuals markets
  • Proven experience working managing a high volume of clients (alpha split and/or one & done)
  • Previous experience in a Contact Centre environment is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills expected including fluency in Broker management systems – EPIC & ARS fluency are an asset
  • Ability to drive strong customer retention by providing a world class customer experience
  • Exceptional quotation skills for cross-selling, upselling and remarketing
  • Ability to quickly learn the NFP business model and value proposition
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, both in person and virtually
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced & demanding environment while keeping customer service a priority
  • Ability to communicate clearly and explain complex concepts in both official languages (French and English) is an asset
