Position

We are seeking a bold, insightful and passionate Account Manager to join our national Influencer Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, Influencer Marketing, the ideal candidate should be immersed in the latest trends, opportunities, regulations and best practices of the influencer space with strong case examples of work brought to life. This role includes managing multiple influencer programs from start to finish, developing and selling in strategic plans, and presenting counsel to clients and internal teams. The candidate will manage multiple programs, understand Edelman’s processes, and work directly with account teams to advance programs. A passion for influencer marketing and thriving in a fast-paced agency environment are essential for success.

What will your week include?
  • Manage the full influencer process for programs including influencer identification, vetting, negotiation, contracting, management and reporting
  • Manage multiple influencer projects to ensure deadlines are met, reporting is thorough and budgets are met
  • Coordinate program integration with Insight and Analytics, Paid Performance, Creative
  • Lead development of content and brand overview documents for influencers outlining program creative requirements, communication mandatories and contractual expectations
  • Support the growth of our influencer marketing business through great work, storytelling and building strong internal and external relationships
  • Stay up to date with the latest influencer marketing trends including disclosure requirements and performance best practices
  • Act as a champion and evangelist for the value of thoughtful, rigorous and creative influencer marketing within Edelman and the broader marketing industry
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3–4 years within influencer-specific marketing, including identification of influencers, managing influencer programs, outreach strategies, content planning, contracting/negotiations, paid promotion and reporting
  • Plus relevant experience in digital, content or brand marketing including social media and community management
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple programs within an agency setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple medium to large-sized projects that include influencer/social content development
  • Proven ability to negotiate and develop relationships with influencers in Canada
  • Clear understanding of the influencer marketing landscape, its importance and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop influencer plans
  • Strong research, writing and editing skills, with the ability to interact with clients professionally and maintain relationships with influencers and content creators
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of internal contacts, demonstrating a consistently high level of verbal and written communications
