Job summary

A leading insurance brokerage in Canada is seeking an Account Executive to join their growing team. In this role, you will sell commercial insurance policies, develop a prospect list, and maintain strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance sales and holds a valid RIBO License. This position also requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work on site and travel as needed, contributing to a dynamic work environment with numerous opportunities for growth.

About The Role

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our growing team!

In this role you will be responsible for sales, prospecting, and servicing a commercial lines book of business. You will develop and maintain a meaningful list of prospective customers, close sales in the commercial area, and provide excellent and timely customer service. This would include acting as a liaison between the customer and the insurance carrier when there may be claims.

What You’ll Do Here

• Sell commercial insurance policies
• Develop and maintain a prospect list
• Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, including visiting customer sites
• Keep abreast of market knowledge, products, and pricing issues and opportunities
• Prepare proposals, and arrange for account placement with the insurance carriers
• Gather and document relevant information to ensure the customer receives the appropriate coverage's and service
• Maintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices
• Arrange payment terms for new business sales and the timely collection of payments
• Support customers with the claims process
• Travel in and out of town

What You Bring To The Table

• High school and/or post-secondary education
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
• RIBO License is required
• Ideally have one or more of CIP, FCIP, CAIB or CCIB
• Exposure to Epic is an asset
• Minimum of 5 years’ commercial insurance sales experience
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
