Who We Are:

Clever Digital Marketing (CDM) is a performance marketing agency trusted by the largest home improvement companies across North America. We specialize in scaling client growth through full-funnel paid media strategies and deep business consulting. With no traditional sales team, CDM’s growth has been powered almost entirely by client referrals and expansion, driven by exceptional service delivery and performance.

Our Enterprise Unit partners with high-value, high-touch clients, many of whom manage marketing budgets of $500,000–$1M+ monthly. We operate as strategic advisors, integrating deeply with client teams to support not just advertising performance, but sales process improvement, customer experience, and long-term profitability.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Account Director to lead and grow a portfolio of large-scale, Enterprise clients. This role goes beyond traditional account management—you will serve as a strategic growth advisor, consultant, and thought partner to executives within some of the most established home improvement businesses in North America.

You’ll be responsible for retention, upsell strategy, stakeholder engagement, and translating performance marketing data into actionable executive-level insights. This is a leadership-level role requiring a blend of strategic thinking, performance marketing fluency, cross-functional coordination, and executive communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the strategic lead for 3-5 Enterprise accounts ($500K+ monthly ad spend each)
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (VP/C-suite level)
  • Run high-impact monthly and quarterly business reviews focused on ROAS, CPL, conversion rates, and downstream sales metrics
  • Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable narratives that align with client business objectives
  • Own client retention and revenue growth KPIs; forecast and prevent churn risks
  • Act as internal advocate for clients across CDM departments (media buying, creative, analytics)
  • Proactively identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities across platforms and services
  • Provide ongoing strategic consultation across Paid Search, Paid Social, and CRM/email strategies
  • Analyze client performance across multi-touch funnels; identify root causes of underperformance
  • Collaborate with analysts to build custom reports and data stories that drive executive decision-making
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives involving media buyers, strategists, designers, and developers
  • Ensure flawless execution of campaign strategies and testing roadmaps
  • Escalate and resolve complex operational issues in a timely, professional manner
  • Mentor junior Client Success Managers and participate in departmental knowledge-sharing
  • Model leadership behaviors rooted in accountability, communication, and proactivity
  • Participate in internal growth initiatives and strategic planning within the Enterprise Unit
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience working directly with Paid Social (Meta) and Paid Search (Google) teams
  • Proven success driving upsells, account expansion, and high retention
  • Strong analytical mindset—fluent in turning media performance data into business insights
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present to senior executives with clarity and confidence
  • Deep curiosity, initiative, and self-direction; thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Post-secondary education required (business, marketing, or analytics preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:
