Accenture Construct - Vice President, Rail and Transit (BC), COM

All | Construction Management | Project Management | Technical Advisory | Full-time

Job No. 1462 | Vancouver

You've Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.”

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

  • Internal Title: Vice President
    • Lead sales efforts for market type (Rail & Transit), including coordination with Executive Leadership Team or central business development staff. Identify and take lead in sales efforts for the market within the region or national subject matter expertise segment.
    • Build and maintain in-depth industry knowledge and relationships
    • Strategize, plan, and lead business development initiatives
    • Participate in the development of marketing strategies for the expansion of Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects’ client base, and lead the process of enhancing Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects’ competitive position in the area of specialty
    • Generate sales in excess of assigned targets in assigned markets
    • Maintain and grow a backlog, including assessment of backlog risk and development execution of mitigation plans.
    • Provide strategic direction in areas such as client and stakeholder relations, project and program management, strategic planning, scope, budget, and schedule control
    • Act as a primary liaison with key clients and agencies, maintaining strong relationships and addressing operational issues proactively
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including agency partners, government officials, and community leaders, to support project execution and operational priorities
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across assigned markets and projects, and drive operational improvements through data-driven analysis and strategic decision-making
    • Ensure client satisfaction by monitoring deliverables and confirming the team is performing to expectations.
    • Provide strategic oversight and leadership across regional rail and transit operations, while supporting local teams through career development, performance management, and day-to-day operational guidance
    • Identify client resource needs and role requirements, and support recruitment and placement efforts. Attract, retain, and develop market-specific talent to ensure alignment with client demands and organizational goals.
    • Coordinate cross-staffing and business development efforts in collaboration with Accenture leadership.
    • Manage budgets and monitor business KPIs for assigned markets and projects
    • Ensure financial targets and operational objectives are met or exceeded
    • Oversee the quality of services delivered to clients within designated markets or contracts
    • Achieve personal utilization targets and support optimal utilization of assigned team members
    • Maintain and expand relationships and revenue generation with existing clients.
    • Develop and deliver senior-level presentation materials, marketing initiatives, and other Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects media
    • Review and provide input to proposals and bids
    • Ensure the strategic positioning of Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects in the industry through presentations, associations, and events
    • Participate in select client engagement and site visits, providing strategic advice and direction
    • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects Leaders
    • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Office-based
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in all aspects of the planning, design, engineering, and construction of capital projects and programs
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Licenses
    • Holding a P.Eng. qualification
    • PMP certification is an asset
  • BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
    • Executive-level leadership, project and program management skills, and business acumen
    • Executive-level stakeholder engagement, communication, and management skills
    • Well-versed and experienced in managing the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
    • Experienced in developing and enforcing business processes and procedures, organizational structure, and governance
    • Able to autonomously formulate and make decisions on technical matters that have potential risk or commercial considerations with minimal consultation
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Expert ability to detect and be sensitive to others' strengths
    • Demonstrated capability to supervise, delegate, and develop capacity
    • Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
    • Effective capacity to anticipate, identify, and minimize risks

    • Demonstrated functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
    • Must maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices

What's in it for you

  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.

  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.

  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.

  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.

  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.

  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.

  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
