Job summary

Accenture Construct in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of complex infrastructure construction projects. You will manage initiatives from program development through design, implementation and close-out, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule and budget.

Hybrid work environment with Ottawa-based role; minimum four days in the office. Strong client relationships and multi-disciplinary team leadership are essential.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure construction projects based in Ottawa. This role is responsible for managing projects from functional program development through design, implementation, and close-out, while ensuring alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
The successful candidate will bring strong infrastructure and construction project delivery experience and a proven ability to manage multiple aspects of projects end-to-end while building and maintaining strong client relationships. Local and/or airport experience are considered assets but not requirements.

  • Execute and manage all phases of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Manage assigned projects or project elements from initiation through completion in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager or Project Lead
  • Lead project delivery from functional program development through design, implementation, and close-out
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements in consultation with stakeholders and clients
  • Assign and manage human and material resources required to successfully deliver projects
  • Formulate and implement resource allocation strategies to distribute work and budgets effectively
  • Authorize work management and maintain control of project delivery in accordance with approved project plans
  • Monitor project staff performance to ensure excellence and adherence to timelines and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with overall project scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Track, monitor, and report on project performance, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Evaluate project effectiveness through consultation with clients and project teams
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Project Management
• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects from functional program development through design, implementation, and close-out
• Construction management experience, including oversight of on-site construction activities
• Local, Ottawa-based experience on Federal Government projects is an asset.
• Experience building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated ability to lead mid-sized, multidisciplinary project teams
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related discipline)
• Holding a recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification like Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM or Ready or other recognized Project Management certifications
• Excellent bilingual written and verbal communication abilities in both French and English (bilingual)

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
