Job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.”

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the planning, assessment, design review, and delivery of complex infrastructure and building projects in the Ottawa region. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in electrical building systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and related building systems, combined with the ability to advise clients, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and oversee the successful execution of studies and capital projects. This role requires a practical problem solver who can balance technical excellence, stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, and project delivery to help clients make informed investment, maintenance, and operational decisions.

  • (Internal Title: Project Management III)
    • Oversee feasibility studies, maintenance studies, and construction/operations projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
    • Prepare detailed technical specifications and requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Establish new project plans in consultation with stakeholders, including clients, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource allocation for various projects.
    • Review and ensure adherence to the overall scope, schedule, and budget
    • Supervise, track, and report on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate
    • Provide specialized knowledge on building and portfolio-level electrical systems, including emergency power, lighting, fire alarms, building systems and other related systems.
    • Offer technical support and quality assurance, recommending improvements, maintenance, or repairs in a relevant, timely, and insightful manner. Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain detailed plans for various electrical studies, outlining objectives, methodologies and timelines. Conduct thorough technical analyses of electrical systems, identifying potential improvements, maintenance needs, and compliance with industry standards.
    • Implement quality assurance measures. Provide regular updates on progress of various electrical studies.
    • Stakeholder engagement with various client departments, acting as a liaison between the team, property managers, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
    • Conduct reviews of various design deliverables submitted by project teams, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements. Provide technical feedback and recommendations to projects teams to enhance the quality and feasibility of their designs.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Hybrid work environment (minimum four days per week in the office)
    • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Project Management
  • Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects from functional program development through design, implementation, and close-out
  • Construction management experience, including oversight of on-site construction activities
  • Local, Ottawa-based experience on Federal Government projects is an asset.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead mid-sized, multidisciplinary project teams

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
