Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, affiliated with the University of Toronto, seeks a permanent Hematological Pathologist to join the Division of Hematological Pathology. The start date is December 1, 2026, or as agreed.

Eligibility for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant/ Associate/ Professor is required. The candidate will teach residents and medical students, participate in bone marrow evaluation, and contribute to diagnostics, translational research and program development

Qualifications

• Medical degree and hematopathology fellowship are required.
• Royal College certification or equivalent is expected.
• Eligibility for Ontario medical licensure is required.
• Experience in hematology, flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach residents, fellows and medical students in hematological pathology.
• Contribute to bone marrow evaluation, flow cytometry and genomic interpretation.
• Engage in research, quality improvement and clinical advocacy initiatives.
