This is a part-time (0.2 FTE) term position ending June 17, 2027.

The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the teaching, administration and maintenance of Athabasca University\'s Criminal Justice Program. Coordinator duties include supervising and monitoring the performance of course tutors (who teach and consult with students and mark their assignments), handling student issues as they are brought forward by students, tutors, or the institution (e.g. grade appeals, course credit challenges, academic misconduct cases, transfer credit requests), and service to the Centre for Social Sciences (e.g. attending meetings held by the Centre and by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences).
Athabasca University is hiring an academic coordinator with expertise in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, or a related field. A minimum of a Master\'s degree is required; a PhD is preferred. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies would also be preferred assets.
