Qualifications

  • Previous tugboat experience is required.
  • Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical Certificate.
  • STCW Basic Safety Training is required.
  • STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats is required.
  • Transport Canada Marine Basic First Aid is required.
  • BC Food Safe Certificate is required.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required.
  • Must be physically able to manage heavy lifting and repetitive movements.
  • Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support tug and barge operations along the BC coast.
  • Maintain safety and compliance during marine deck operations.
  • Collaborate with crew to ensure efficient move operations.
