Pathways to Independence requires one (1) Full-Time Temporary Support Worker (up to 12 months), to provide assisted living support for adults with a Dual Diagnosis.
Under the direction of the Client Services Manager, the Support Worker, Dual Diagnosis supports adults with dual diagnosis, mental health, behavioral challenges, and those involved in forensic services in accordance with the person’s life plan. The Support Worker, DD, provides support with activities such as, homemaking, personal care, community, and personal development skills in accordance with the person’s Quality of Life Plan, and other directives as required. The Support Worker, DD, will implement established strategies and behavior management plans under the general direction of the Manager and Counsellor, DD. The Support Worker, DD ensures that the person’s services and supports promote their rights, choices, self-determination, independence and builds personal and community living skills.

The successful candidate must be able to perform the job duties as outlined in the job description. All employees at Pathways will be responsible for a commitment to safety. Shifts are typically 12 hours long and include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. May work with clients who have aggressive behavior.
