Job summary

Ericsson Canada Inc. is offering a Software Developer Co-op in Ottawa, ON, for 8–16 months starting January 2027. You will join a team developing real-time 5G software and tooling, with opportunities to apply AI/ML methods and automate tests.

You should be enrolled in a computer science/engineering program, able to work 40 hours per week, and comfortable collaborating in an Agile environment with English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications or related fields.
• Enrolled full-time in an undergrad, masters, or PhD program for a co‑op term.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English, with good written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate using Agile methodologies to develop 5G base station software.
• Develop and test real-time 5G software features and tools.
• Apply AI/ML techniques to support development and testing.
• Create automated test cases and testing tools for 5G lab equipment.
• Work on 5G simulations, including signal processing tasks.
