Shuswap Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic full-time Certified Orthodontic Assistant to join our newly renovated, state‑of‑the‑art Orthodontic clinic in Salmon Arm, BC.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner.
• Sterilization procedures, setting up the operatories, taking x‑rays, photos, and intraoral scans, some lab work.
• Once the completion of the Ortho Module, involved in a wide range of patient care procedures, including direct bond bracket procedures, archwire and appliance adjustments, and Aligner appointments while under the doctor's supervision.
• Building positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.
• Enter detailed chart/record notations, patient tracking and imaging in the practice management system.
• Provide patient instruction/education.
• Provide reports to parents/guardians.
• Ability to perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the practice.

The Teammate We’re Looking For

• Certified Dental Assistant and licensed with CDABC
• 1+ years’ experience as a Certified Dental Assistant.
• Completion of Ortho Module is an asset.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written, with a proven ability to build strong relationships to build positive rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Keen attention to detail and time management.
