Northumberland Ferries Limited seeks a skilled 4th Class Engineer to maintain and oversee machinery aboard our vessels. Based at Wood Islands, PE, and Caribou, NS, you will report to the Engineer of the Watch and support safe, efficient operations during the sailing season (May–December) with off-season overhaul work.
You will maintain logs and maintenance records, supervise Oilers, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.

Position Overview:
As a 4th Class Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our vessels.This full-time, year-round position includes an active sailing season from May to December, followed by four months of essential overhaul and refit work during the off-season. Operations are based from the ports of Wood Islands, PE, and Caribou, NS.
Reporting directly to the Engineer of the Watch, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of allmachinery and equipment aboard the vessel. This role demands a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and teamwork, contributing to the overall success of Northumberland Ferries Limited’s operations.
