Job summary

Peripheral in Toronto is seeking a Reconstruction Engineer to advance state-of-the-art 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, and spatial models. You will design, run, and analyze experiments and evaluate results to push research toward production.

You will work independently yet collaborate closely, publish results, compare methods from literature, and help scale reliable models for live environments and elite venues.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD required in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision or a related field.
• Publication(s) at top-tier venues in 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, or spatial modeling as first author or major contributor.
• Strong research experience across classical and neural approaches to 3D reconstruction and spatial modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and a deep learning framework; track record of implementing and training models from scratch.
• Strong communication skills to explain results to researchers and engineers.
• Legal right to work in Canada and willingness to relocate to Toronto for in-office role.

Responsibilities

• Design, run, and analyze experiments across 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, and spatial models.
• Implement and evaluate new techniques from literature and your own ideas; report results clearly to the team.
• Help move promising research into production by profiling, optimizing, and handing off models for the rest of the team.
