GFL Environmental is seeking a 310T Mechanic to inspect, maintain, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty diesel trucks and related equipment. You will ensure assets operate safely and in compliance with regulatory standards, working in modern shops with the latest diagnostic technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician license.
• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repair of heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including diesel, CNG, gasoline, and electric-powered units.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maintain fleet reliability.
• Complete work orders, repair reports, and parts requests using fleet maintenance software.
• Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner and coordinate parts with operations.
• Ensure safety compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment; keep the shop and work areas clean and safe.
• Support operations and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Licensing:Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician license.
• Experience:Minimum 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Education:High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma preferred.
• Technical Proficiency:Experience using diagnostic software is considered a strong asset, along with strong computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems.
• Safety Commitment:Ability to successfully satisfy all company standards for safety-sensitive positions.

• Diagnostics & Repair:Diagnose and repair operational issues on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, including diesel, CNG, gasoline, and electric-powered units.
• Preventive Maintenance:Perform thorough maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability.
• Administrative Tasks:Complete work orders, repair reports, and parts requests; perform required administrative tasks daily using fleet maintenance software.
• Planning & Coordination:Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner and procure required parts; review mechanical write-ups and coordinate schedules with operations.
• Safety Compliance:Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner in full compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements.
• Tool & Shop Maintenance:Maintain and utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment; keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Operational Support:Follow all company policies and procedures, and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
