Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections, diagnosis, & repair ready-mix trucks through preventative & scheduled maintenance.
  • Perform removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components.
  • Use leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns.
  • Order required parts and maintaining parts inventory.
  • Document repairs on work orders and complete inspections sheets as required.
  • Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on availability of equipment.
  • Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
  • Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to use of shop and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
  • All other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Registered as a 310T Truck and Coach Technician Apprentice
  • Currently at Level 3 (Advanced) of the apprenticeship program.
  • Progress toward completion of 6,000 hours on-the-job training and 720 hours in-school training (240 hours per level).
  • Valid class ‘G’ Driver’s License.
  • Ability to preform advanced tasks, including diagnostics, electronic systems, and complex repairs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a safety-first approach.
  • Ability to travel to local sites as required.
