About the Company

Our client is a multi-line highway trailer dealership located in Burford, ON. They perform service repairs to a variety of trailers including Dumps, Walking Floors/Tippers, Live Bottoms, Hoppers and Flat Decks.

They are growing at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Licensed 310J Trailer Mechanic to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities
  • Perform PDI on all new trailers
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a variety of transport trailers
  • Ensure all repairs are in compliance with MTO and sales standards
  • Document work performed accurately and thoroughly
  • Work closely with other technicians to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient shop environment
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on support to apprentices, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must possess a valid 310J Truck-Trailer Service Technician license (required)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle
  • Possess own set of tools applicable to the position
  • Solid understanding of trailer systems and components (brakes, hydraulics, suspension, DC electrical wiring etc.)
  • Possess excellent communication skills with ability to communicate directly with customers over the phone and in person
  • Must be comfortable using welding, cutting and metalworking tools
