Job summary

Leggett Dynamics, a Leggett & Platt business unit, seeks a licensed Electrician to support 24-7 automotive manufacturing operations. You’ll maintain equipment, perform electrical and control tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency across shifts.

You’ll work with robotics, vision systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic components, with a focus on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a unionized facility.

Qualifications

• Valid 309A or 442A Industrial Electrician License.
• 2+ years in an automotive manufacturing facility.
• Hands-on experience with robot and vision systems.
• Basic programming and controls experience; willingness to learn.
• Mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment experience.
• Experience with single-phase, 3-phase, and industrial voltages up to 575VAC.
• Experience with safety circuit wiring and hardware.
• Understand electrical and control schematics.
• Basic industrial mechanical skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting skills.
• Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Provide electrical, controls and basic mechanical technical support to maintain and improve equipment.
• Maintain facilities by performing electrical wiring repairs and modifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and make repair and improvement recommendations.
• Follow all plant safety, LOTO and other policies and procedures.
• Maintain daily log of repairs and of completed preventative maintenance.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Completes assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned.
• Capable of working effectively both as a team member and independently.
• Willing to work rotating shifts with overtime on weekends and holidays as needed.

Rotating Shifts: (10:00pm – 6:30am; 6:30am – 3:00pm; 3:00pm – 11:30pm)
Compensation: $45.00/hr
License Required: Valid 442A/309A Electrician License

Tool allowance: ($1,000 CAD/year) and tool replacement plans

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a licensed Electrician, you will support the manufacturing equipment & facilities maintenance in our 24-5, automotive parts manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in the repair and maintenance of our equipment to help provide a safe, and effective workplace. This is a USW unionized facility.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with industrial automation would be an asset (ie. wire or tube bending equipment, Fanuc robotics, Cognex and/or Keyence vision inspection systems, Engel or Multiplas injection mold machines, basic mechanical repair.
• Welding certification

• Working at heights & elevated platform training
• Basic industrial mechanical skills

Compensation:
