UGDSB is seeking a dynamic Administrative Office Assistant - Elementary for Willow Road Public School on a 0.2 FTE, temp-to-perm part-time basis.

Location: Willow Road Public School. Hours: 0.2 FTE, 7 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $24.26–$29.31 plus vacation pay per ESA. Start date: as soon as possible; End date: Sept 14, 2027 with potential extension. 10-month calendar (Sept–June) under OCT Union.

Competenze

  • OSSD or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by the Board.
  • Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammatical usage.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to use a variety of computer applications and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others in a professional, respectful, equitable and inclusive manner.
  • Familiarity with SDS, and Edsembli databases are considered an asset.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a temp orary part-time opportunity in the capacity of Administrative Office Assistant - Elementary .

Location: Willow Road Public School

FTE and Hours: 0.2 FTE; 7 hours per week

Hourly Pay Rate: $24.26 - $29.31 per hour, plus applicable vacation pay in accordance with the ESA; wage rate effective September 1, 2025

Start Date: As soon as possible

End Date: Anticipated end date of September 14, 2027 with possibility of extension or may end earlier than anticipated

Board Information: 10-month position (yearly from September – June following the school year calendar); temporary; part-time; Office, Clerical and Technical (OCT) Union

Reporting to the Principal and Vice Principal, the Administrative Office Assistant - Elementary is responsible for providing confidential clerical and receptionist duties in the office of an elementary school. This role supports the efficient operation of the school office and provides essential administrative assistance to staff, students, and the school community.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for performing clerical and reception duties in the school including:

  • Verify student attendance through Safe Arrival program
  • Handle clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining records.
  • Act as a point of contact for the school office, welcoming visitors, managing incoming phone calls, and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Performs a range of tasks including but not limited to data entry, student verification forms, preparing reports and correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by the Board
  • Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammatical usage
  • Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and the ability to use a variety of computer applications and databases
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to confidentiality at all times
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others in a professional, respectful, equitable and inclusive manner.
  • Familiarity with SDS, and Edsembli databases are considered an asset
