Successful candidates must hold a primary teaching qualification and will be paid per the board's QECO rating and teaching experience; the annual salary is prorated for the 0.2 FTE.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our elementary teaching team for the following opportunity:

Position Details: Long Term Occasional Assignment – Grade 1 - 0.2FTE

Location: Grand Valley

Rate of Pay: $52,974.00 - $119,975.00 per annum; salary grid rate is based on QECO rating and teaching experience; annual salary is prorated based on FTE; grid rate effective September 1, 2026

Days 2 & 5 Afternoons Until October 9 - then - Days 1 & 4 Afternoons Beginning October 12

Immediately - unknown, not to exceed June 30, 2027

Reporting to the Principal of the assigned school, the Long-Term Occasional Teacher is responsible for providing continuous, high-quality education during the temporary absence of the regular teacher. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting student achievement and well-being in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Board Policies.
