Lakeridge Health Oshawa is seeking a Laboratory Technologist in the Histopathology department for a temporary part-time 18-month position. The role covers embedding, microtomy, slide handling, and QC with opportunities to participate in equipment validation and safety programs.
Requirements include CSMLS certification, current CMLTO registration, and recent histopathology lab experience. Willingness to train students and work varying shifts is expected.

Performing routine and specialized test procedures in Histopathology including but not limited to embedding, microtomy, slide distribution and quality control; participating in validation of testing equipment and methodologies; maintaining organized workflow to maintain performance standards of quantity and quality; observing, troubleshooting and reporting problems with methods, equipment etc. to his/her supervisor; ensuring cleanliness of equipment and immediate work area; following established safety and infection control procedures; participating in student training programs, as required; and performing other duties as assigned.
